  • Where are you located?

Fat Boys Towing Service has locations in Roanoke and Bedford, VA, and provides services throughout all of the southeast and central part of the state.

  • What are your hours of operation?

Because our services are an essential community service, we operate 24/7, including on all public holidays.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash and credit cards (Visa, American Express, Discover, and Mastercard), as well as Cash App, Zelle, EFS Com Check, and T-Check.

  • What's the difference between local and long-distance towing?

It’s really just a matter of effort. Because a long-distance tow requires more manpower, time, and gas, it will cost more than a simpler, local tow. Nonetheless, if you’re a driver in need, we’ll gladly work the job without hesitation, no matter how long or short the tow.

  • Can your towing providers unlock my car for me?

Yes, we can unlock any make or model. When you talk to our dispatchers, just be sure to tell them you need lockout assistance and whether your keys are lost or locked inside. They will also need to know the make and model of your vehicle and your location. We provide service within an hour.

  • How will I know if my battery needs to be jump started or completely replaced?

Since there are so many variables, count on our reliable towing professionals to determine the problem and come up with the proper solution.  When you call us up, our service providers can easily diagnose the problem.

  • Is towing rough on my car?

Not at all. Because your car is lifted by its tires, it’s riding on your own suspension, and the tow truck’s suspension absorbs most of the bumps along the road.

  • My car is all-wheel drive; Does it require a flatbed tow truck?

No. Conventional tow trucks can lift all the car’s wheels off the ground.

  • Do you want me to put the vehicle in neutral?

No. It’s unsafe because your vehicle cannot be controlled when it’s in neutral. Once we get there, our technician will secure your vehicle with a towing cable and only then release the transmission. You will need to give him your keys.

  • Do I need to be present at my vehicle for you to tow it?

No. We conduct “unattended recoveries” all the time. Just make sure your keys are available; usually that means they’re hidden in a place you have indicated to us.
